MEDWeek Minority Enterprise Development Week

BTL Technologies

Minority Entrepreneur of the Year

Bill "Clark" Kent is President and CEO of BTL Technologies, Inc., a medical and information technology services company headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. With additional offices in Montgomery, Alabama, and Washington D.C., BTL employs close to 100 fulltime employees.

In business for over five years, BTL Technologies was born from a strong desire by Kent to be his own boss and to develop a culture of entrepreneurship within his family.

Retired from the U.S. Air Force, Kent has made an effort to recruit employees who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. As a result, a majority of BTL Technologies’ employees are retired military personnel.

BTL Technologies has developed successful partnerships with many companies including CACI, TerraHealth, Suntiva, Nurses, Etc., and Genesis Concepts and Solutions.

The company also has strong ties to several chambers of commerce, including the Alamo Black Chamber of San Antonio, and gives back to the community by supporting the United Way of Bexar County. Through these alliances and with a commitment to quality customer service, the company has developed a strong foundation.

In 2011, BTL Technologies was honored with an award by the San Antonio SBA.

Clark credits his success to his faith and his unwavering will to find a way to succeed despite obstacles.
