MEDWeek Minority Enterprise Development Week

Osirus

Minority Service Firm of the Year

James Aleman comes from a family of successful entrepreneurs who taught him how to start and run a business. This experience and independent spirit shows through in his own successful food service management company, Osirus.

For more than 13 years, Osirus has met the growing demands of the food service industry and has developed beneficial partnerships with a number of vendors, including M&I Meat Market, River City Produce, and Sanivac. Osirus employs more than 90 people and has one main office in San Antonio with satellite offices at 10 locations.

The company is a proud supporter of the community with regular donations going to the St. Mary Magdalene’s Vincent DePaul Food Bank. Osirus also provides several yearly scholarships to many of the schools they service.

Aleman cites one of his proudest achievements as establishing a growing company that his sons now work for and will someday run. He credits his success to his parents and Aunt Josie who instilled in him a strong work ethic and the belief that one must never forget where they came from. He also credits his dedicated employees for helping make the company the success it is today.
